How To Install whowatch on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install whowatch
on Fedora 36.
What is whowatch
Whowatch is an interactive who-like program that displays information about the users currently logged on to the machine, in real time. Besides standard information (login name, tty, host, user’s process), the type of the connection (ie. telnet or ssh) is shown. You can toggle display between users’ command or idle time. You can watch processes tree, navigate in it and send INT and KILL signals.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install whowatch
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install whowatch.
Install whowatch on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install whowatch
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install whowatch
Install whowatch on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install whowatch
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install whowatch
How To Uninstall whowatch on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the whowatch
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove whowatch
