How To Install vex on Fedora 36
Introduction

on Fedora 36.
What is vex
Vex is an alternative to virtualenv’s ‘source wherever/bin/activate’ and
deactivate
, and virtualenvwrapper’sworkon
, and also virtualenv-burrito if you use that. It works in a more elegant way, though it does less. You might find it nicer to use. And it works with non-bash shells.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install vex
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install vex.
Install vex on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vex
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install vex
Install vex on Fedora 36 Using yum

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vex
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install vex
How To Uninstall vex on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the vex
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove vex
