How To Install vdr-screenshot on Fedora 36

What is vdr-screenshot
With this plugin you can take still images of your screen. After installing the plugin, a new mainmenu entry “Screenshot” will show up. Each time you select this item, a file /var/cache/vdr/screenshot/title-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.jpg will be created, where title is the current transmission or the recording currently replayed.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install vdr-screenshot
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install vdr-screenshot.
Install vdr-screenshot on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vdr-screenshot
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install vdr-screenshot
Install vdr-screenshot on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install vdr-screenshot
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install vdr-screenshot
How To Uninstall vdr-screenshot on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the vdr-screenshot
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove vdr-screenshot
