What is unoconv
Universal Office Converter (unoconv) is a command line tool to convert any document format that LibreOffice can import to any document format that LibreOffice can export. It makes use of the LibreOffice’s UNO bindings for non-interactive conversion of documents. Supported document formats include Open Document Format (.odg, .odp, .ods, .odt), MS Word (.doc), MS Office Open/MS OOXML (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx), PDF, HTML, RTF, and many more.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install unoconv
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install unoconv.
Install unoconv on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install unoconv
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install unoconv
Install unoconv on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install unoconv
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install unoconv
How To Uninstall unoconv on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the unoconv
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove unoconv
