How To Install ufdbGuard on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ufdbGuard
on Fedora 36.
What is ufdbGuard
ufdbGuard is a free URL filter for Squid with additional features like SafeSearch enforcement for a large number of search engines, safer HTTPS visits and dynamic detection of proxies (URL filter circumventors). ufdbGuard supports free and commercial URL databases that can be downloaded from various sites and vendors. You can also make your own URL database for ufdbGuard.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ufdbGuard
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ufdbGuard.
Install ufdbGuard on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ufdbGuard
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ufdbGuard
Install ufdbGuard on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ufdbGuard
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ufdbGuard
How To Uninstall ufdbGuard on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the ufdbGuard
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ufdbGuard
