How To Install trousers on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install trousers
on Fedora 36.
What is trousers
TrouSerS is an implementation of the Trusted Computing Group’s Software Stack (TSS) specification. You can use TrouSerS to write applications that make use of your TPM hardware. TPM hardware can create, store and use RSA keys securely (without ever being exposed in memory), verify a platform’s software state using cryptographic hashes and more.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install trousers
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install trousers.
Install trousers on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install trousers
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install trousers
Install trousers on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install trousers
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install trousers
How To Uninstall trousers on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the trousers
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove trousers
