How To Install texlive-xunicode on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-xunicode
on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-xunicode
The package supports XeTeX’s (and other putative future similar engines’) need for Unicode characters, in a similar way to what the fontenc does for 8-bit (and the like) fonts glyph sequence to a single Unicode character for output. The package also covers glyphs specified by packages (such as tipa) which define many commands for single text glyphs.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-xunicode
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-xunicode.
Install texlive-xunicode on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-xunicode
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-xunicode
Install texlive-xunicode on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-xunicode
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-xunicode
How To Uninstall texlive-xunicode on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-xunicode
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-xunicode
