How To Install texlive-texapi on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-texapi
on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-texapi
Texapi provides utility macros to write format-independent (and -aware) packages. It is similar in spirit to the etoolbox, except that it isn’t tied to LaTeX. Tools include format detection, expansion control, command definition and manipulation, various testing macros, string operations, and highly customizable while and for loops. The package requires e- TeX (and, should you want to compile its documentation, the pitex package is also needed).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-texapi
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-texapi.
Install texlive-texapi on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-texapi
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-texapi
Install texlive-texapi on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-texapi
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-texapi
How To Uninstall texlive-texapi on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-texapi
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-texapi
