How To Install texlive-tasks on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-tasks
on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-tasks
The reason for the creation of the tasks environment was an unwritten agreement in German maths textbooks (exspecially (junior) high school textbooks) to organize exercises in columns counting horizontally rather than vertically. This is what the tasks package helps to achieve.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-tasks
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-tasks.
Install texlive-tasks on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-tasks
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-tasks
Install texlive-tasks on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-tasks
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-tasks
How To Uninstall texlive-tasks on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-tasks
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-tasks
