In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-scalebar on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-scalebar
This is a small package to create scalebars for maps, diagrams or photos. It was designed for use with cave maps but can be used for anything from showing a scalebar in kilometres for topographic maps to a scalebar in micrometres for an electron microscope image.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-scalebar on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-scalebar.
Install texlive-scalebar on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-scalebar using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-scalebar
Install texlive-scalebar on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-scalebar using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-scalebar
How To Uninstall texlive-scalebar on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-scalebar package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-scalebar
