How To Install texlive-russ on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-russ
on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-russ
The package aims to facilitate Russian typesetting (based on input using MicroSoft Code Page 1251). Russian hyphenation is selected, and various mathematical commands are set up in Russian style. Furthermore all Cyrillic letters’ catcodes are set to “letter”, so that commands with Cyrillic letters in their names may be defined.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-russ
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-russ.
Install texlive-russ on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-russ
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-russ

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-russ
using yum
by running the following command:

How To Uninstall texlive-russ on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-russ
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-russ
