on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-mcite
The mcite package allows the user to collapse multiple citations into one, as is customary in physics journals. The package requires a customised BibTeX style for its work; the documentation explains how to do that customisation.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-mcite
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-mcite.
Install texlive-mcite on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-mcite
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-mcite
Install texlive-mcite on Fedora 36 Using yum

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-mcite
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-mcite
How To Uninstall texlive-mcite on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-mcite
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-mcite
