Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-makebase
on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-makebase
This package typesets a LaTeX counter such as page in an arbitrary base (default 16). It does not change font or typeface. The package extends the functionality of the existing hex LaTeX 2.09 package and provides documentation. However, the author is not a mathematician, and suggestions for rewriting the code are welcomed. Warning contain bugs. Please report problems to the author.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install texlive-makebase
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-makebase.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-makebase
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-makebase

How To Uninstall texlive-makebase on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-makebase
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-makebase
