In this tutorial we learn how to install texlive-eplain on Fedora 36.
What is texlive-eplain
An extended version of the plain TeX format, adding support for bibliographies, tables of contents, enumerated lists, verbatim input of files, numbered equations, tables, two-column output, footnotes, hyperlinks in PDF output and commutative diagrams. Eplain can also load some of the more useful LaTeX packages, notably graphics, graphicx (an extended of version of graphics), color, autopict (a package instance of the LaTeX picture code), psfrag, and url.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-eplain on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-eplain.
Install texlive-eplain on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-eplain using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-eplain
Install texlive-eplain on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-eplain using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-eplain
How To Uninstall texlive-eplain on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the texlive-eplain package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-eplain
