In this tutorial we learn how to install stix-fonts on Fedora 36.

What is stix-fonts

The mission of the Scientific and Technical Information Exchange (STIX) font creation project is the preparation of a comprehensive set of fonts that serve the scientific and engineering community in the process from manuscript creation through final publication, both in electronic and print formats.

We can use yum or dnf to install stix-fonts on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install stix-fonts.

Install stix-fonts on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install stix-fonts using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install stix-fonts

Install stix-fonts on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install stix-fonts using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install stix-fonts

How To Uninstall stix-fonts on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the stix-fonts package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove stix-fonts
