How To Install sng on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sng
on Fedora 36.
What is sng
SNG (Scriptable Network Graphics) is a minilanguage designed specifically to represent the entire contents of a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) file in an editable form. Thus, SNGs representing elaborate graphics images and ancillary chunk data can be readily generated or modified using only text tools. SNG is implemented by a compiler/decompiler called sng that losslessly translates between SNG and PNG.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install sng
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sng.
Install sng on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install sng
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install sng
Install sng on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install sng
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install sng
How To Uninstall sng on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the sng
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove sng
