What is rubygem-levenshtein
Calculates the Levenshtein distance between two byte strings. The Levenshtein distance is a metric for measuring the amount of difference between two sequences (i.e., the so called edit distance). The Levenshtein distance between two sequences is given by the minimum number of operations needed to transform one sequence into the other, where an operation is an insertion, deletion, or substitution of a single element.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rubygem-levenshtein
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rubygem-levenshtein.
Install rubygem-levenshtein on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-levenshtein
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rubygem-levenshtein
Install rubygem-levenshtein on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-levenshtein
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install rubygem-levenshtein
How To Uninstall rubygem-levenshtein on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the rubygem-levenshtein
package we can use the following command:
