How To Install rubiks on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install rubiks
on Fedora 36.
What is rubiks
This package contains several different Rubik’s cube solvers. They can be invoked from the command line or used through sagemath. Michael Reid (GPLv2+) - optimal - uses many pre-computed tables to find an optimal solution to the 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube Dik T. Winter (MIT) - dikcube - uses Kociemba’s algorithm to iteratively find a short solution to the 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube - size222 - solves a 2x2x2 Rubik’s cube Eric Dietz (GPL+) - cu2 - A fast, non-optimal 2x2x2 solver - cubex - A fast, non-optimal 3x3x3 solver - mcube - A fast, non-optimal 4x4x4 solver
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rubiks
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rubiks.
Install rubiks on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rubiks
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rubiks
Install rubiks on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rubiks
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install rubiks
How To Uninstall rubiks on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the rubiks
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rubiks
