What is rfcdiff
The purpose of this program is to compare two versions of an internet-draft, and as output produce a diff in one of several formats - side-by-side html diff - paged wdiff output in a text terminal - a text file with changebars in the left margin - a simple unified diff output In all cases, internet-draft headers and footers are stripped before generating the diff, to produce a cleaner diff.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rfcdiff
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rfcdiff.
Install rfcdiff on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install rfcdiff
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rfcdiff
