In this tutorial we learn how to install R-cli on Fedora 36.

What is `R-cli`

A suite of tools to build attractive command line interfaces (‘CLIs’), from semantic elements custom themes via a ‘CSS’-like language. It also contains a number of lower level ‘CLI’ elements ‘ASCII’ alternatives. It support ANSI colors and text styles as well.

We can use yum or dnf to install R-cli on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install R-cli.

Install R-cli on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install R-cli using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install R-cli

Install R-cli on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install R-cli using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install R-cli

How To Uninstall R-cli on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the R-cli package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove R-cli
