How To Install QtDMM on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install QtDMM
on Fedora 36.
What is QtDMM
QtDMM is a DMM readout software including a configurable recorder. The recorder features manual start, scheduled start (at a given time), triggered automatic start when given thresholds are reached, and the ability to display more than one value from the multimeter. It was written for Metex (and compatible like VOLTCRAFT) multimeter which use an 14 byte protocol. Later several more protocols have been added. For more information on the currently supported DMM’s have a look at the preset table.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install QtDMM
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install QtDMM.
Install QtDMM on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install QtDMM
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install QtDMM
Install QtDMM on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install QtDMM
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install QtDMM
How To Uninstall QtDMM on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the QtDMM
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove QtDMM
