How To Install qatlib on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install qatlib
on Fedora 36.
What is qatlib
Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT) provides hardware acceleration for offloading security, authentication and compression services from the CPU, thus significantly increasing the performance and efficiency of standard platform solutions. Its services include symmetric encryption and authentication, asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, RSA, DH and ECC, and lossless data compression. This package provides user space libraries that allow access to Intel QuickAssist devices and expose the Intel QuickAssist APIs.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install qatlib
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install qatlib.
Install qatlib on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install qatlib
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install qatlib
Install qatlib on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install qatlib
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install qatlib
How To Uninstall qatlib on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the qatlib
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove qatlib
