How To Install progress on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install progress
on Fedora 36.
What is progress
Progress can be described as a Tiny Dirty Linux Only* C command that looks for coreutils basic commands (cp, mv, dd, tar, gzip/gunzip, cat, …) currently running on your system and displays the percentage of copied data.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install progress
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install progress.
Install progress on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install progress
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install progress
Install progress on Fedora 36 Using yum

using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install progress
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install progress
How To Uninstall progress on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the progress
