What is php-markdown

This is a PHP implementation of John Gruber’s Markdown. It is almost completely compliant with the reference implementation. This packages provides the classic version %{classic_version} and the new library version 1.9.1. Autoloader

We can use yum or dnf to install php-markdown on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install php-markdown.

Install php-markdown on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install php-markdown using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install php-markdown

Install php-markdown on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install php-markdown using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install php-markdown

How To Uninstall php-markdown on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the php-markdown package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove php-markdown
