What is perl-Data-IEEE754

This Perl module provides some simple convenience functions for packing and unpacking IEEE 754 floats and doubles. If you can require Perl 5.10 or greater then this module is pointless. Just use the “d>” and “f>” pack formats instead.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Data-IEEE754 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Data-IEEE754.

Install perl-Data-IEEE754 on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Data-IEEE754 using dnf by running the following command:

To uninstall only the perl-Data-IEEE754 package we can use the following command:
