What is pdfresurrect
PDFResurrect is a tool aimed at analyzing PDF documents. The PDF format allows for previous document changes to be retained in a more recent version of the document, thereby creating a running history of changes for the document. This tool attempts to extract all previous versions while also producing a summary of changes between versions. This tool can also “scrub” or write data over the original instances of PDF objects that have been modified or deleted, in an effort to disguise information from previous versions that might not be intended for anyone else to read.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install pdfresurrect
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pdfresurrect.
Install pdfresurrect on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install pdfresurrect
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install pdfresurrect
Install pdfresurrect on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install pdfresurrect
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install pdfresurrect
How To Uninstall pdfresurrect on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the pdfresurrect
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove pdfresurrect
