What is `pcsc-lite-acsccid`

acsccid is a PC/SC driver for Linux/Mac OS X and it supports ACS CCID smart card readers. This library provides a PC/SC IFD handler implementation and communicates with the readers through the PC/SC Lite resource manager (pcscd). acsccid is based on ccid. See CCID free software driver [1] for more information.

We can use yum or dnf to install pcsc-lite-acsccid on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pcsc-lite-acsccid.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install pcsc-lite-acsccid using dnf by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install pcsc-lite-acsccid using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install pcsc-lite-acsccid

How To Uninstall pcsc-lite-acsccid on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the pcsc-lite-acsccid package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove pcsc-lite-acsccid
