This is a collection of programs that can manipulate patch files in a variety of ways, such as interpolating between two pre-patches, combining two incremental patches, fixing line numbers in hand-edited patches, and simply listing the files modified by a patch.

We can use yum or dnf to install patchutils on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install patchutils.

Install patchutils on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install patchutils using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install patchutils

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install patchutils using yum by running the following command:
