How To Install ogdi on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ogdi on Fedora 36.
What is ogdi
OGDI is the Open Geographic Datastore Interface. OGDI is an application programming interface (API) that uses a standardized access methods to work in conjunction with GIS software packages (the application) and various geospatial data products. OGDI uses a client/server architecture to facilitate the dissemination of geospatial data products over any TCP/IP network, and a driver-oriented approach to facilitate access to several geospatial data products/formats.
We can use yum or dnf to install ogdi on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ogdi.
Install ogdi on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ogdi using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ogdi
Install ogdi on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ogdi using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ogdi
How To Uninstall ogdi on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the ogdi package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ogdi
