How To Install noip on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install noip
on Fedora 36.
What is noip
Keep your current IP address in sync with your No-IP host or domain with this Dynamic Update Client (DUC). The client continually checks for IP address changes in the background and automatically updates the DNS at No-IP whenever it changes. N.B. You need to run %# noip2 -C before starting the service.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install noip
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install noip.
Install noip on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install noip
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install noip
Install noip on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install noip
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install noip
How To Uninstall noip on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the noip
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove noip
