How To Install neofetch on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install neofetch
on Fedora 36.
What is neofetch
Neofetch displays information about your system next to an image, your OS logo, or any ASCII file of your choice. The main purpose of Neofetch is to be used in screenshots to show other users what OS/distribution you’re running, what theme/icons you’re using and more.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install neofetch
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install neofetch.
Install neofetch on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install neofetch
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install neofetch
Install neofetch on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install neofetch
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install neofetch
How To Uninstall neofetch on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the neofetch
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove neofetch
