In this tutorial we learn how to install nec2c
on Fedora 36.
What is nec2c
nec2c is a translation of the Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC2) from FORTRAN to C. Operationally nec2c differs from NEC2 by being a command line non-interactive program, taking as arguments the input file name and optionally the output file name.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install nec2c
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install nec2c.
Install nec2c on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nec2c
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install nec2c
Install nec2c on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install nec2c
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install nec2c
How To Uninstall nec2c on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the nec2c
