What is ncmpcpp
A featureful ncurses based MPD client inspired by ncmpc. The main features are - tag editor - playlist editor - easy to use search engine - media library - music visualizer - ability to fetch artist info from last.fm - new display mode - alternative user interface - ability to browse and add files from outside of MPD music directory .. and a lot more minor functions.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ncmpcpp
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ncmpcpp.
Install ncmpcpp on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ncmpcpp
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ncmpcpp
Install ncmpcpp on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ncmpcpp
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ncmpcpp
How To Uninstall ncmpcpp on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the ncmpcpp
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ncmpcpp
