How To Install mtdev on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install mtdev
on Fedora 36.
What is mtdev
mtdev is a stand-alone library which transforms all variants of kernel MT events to the slotted type B protocol. The events put into mtdev may be from any MT device, specifically type A without contact tracking, type A with contact tracking, or type B with contact tracking.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install mtdev
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mtdev.
Install mtdev on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mtdev
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mtdev
Install mtdev on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mtdev
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mtdev
How To Uninstall mtdev on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the mtdev
package we can use the following command:
