How To Install mspdebug on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install mspdebug on Fedora 36.
What is mspdebug
A a free debugger for use with MSP430 MCUs. It supports FET430UIF, eZ430, RF2500 and TI Chronos devices. It can be used as a proxy for gdb or as an independent debugger with support for programming, disassembly and reverse engineering.
We can use yum or dnf to install mspdebug on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mspdebug.
Install mspdebug on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mspdebug using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mspdebug
Install mspdebug on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mspdebug using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mspdebug
How To Uninstall mspdebug on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the mspdebug package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove mspdebug
