What is mod_http2

The mod_h2 Apache httpd module implements the HTTP2 protocol (h2+h2c) on top of libnghttp2 for httpd 2.4 servers.

We can use yum or dnf to install mod_http2 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mod_http2.

Install mod_http2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install mod_http2 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mod_http2

Install mod_http2 on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install mod_http2 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install mod_http2

How To Uninstall mod_http2 on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the mod_http2 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove mod_http2
