What is mmg

mmg is an open source software for bidimensional and tridimensional surface and volume remeshing. It provides - The mmg2d application and library bidimensional triangulation - The mmgs application and library triangulation and isovalue discretization - The mmg3d application and library tetrahedral mesh and implicit domain meshing - The mmg library, combining the mmg2d, mmgs and mmg3d libraries.

We can use yum or dnf to install mmg on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mmg.

Install mmg on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install mmg using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install mmg

Install mmg on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install mmg using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install mmg

How To Uninstall mmg on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the mmg package we can use the following command:
