How To Install mingw64-wavpack on Fedora 36

What is mingw64-wavpack
WavPack is a completely open audio compression format providing lossless, high-quality lossy, and a unique hybrid compression mode. Although the technology is loosely based on previous versions of WavPack, the new version 4 format has been designed from the ground up to offer unparalleled performance and functionality. This package is MinGW compiled wavpack library for the Win64 target.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install mingw64-wavpack
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mingw64-wavpack.
Install mingw64-wavpack on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mingw64-wavpack
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mingw64-wavpack
Install mingw64-wavpack on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mingw64-wavpack
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mingw64-wavpack
How To Uninstall mingw64-wavpack on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the mingw64-wavpack
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove mingw64-wavpack
