What is mingw64-speex-tools
Speex is a patent-free compression format designed especially for speech. It is specialized for voice communications at low bit-rates in the 2-45 kbps range. Possible applications include Voice over IP (VoIP), Internet audio streaming, audio books, and archiving of speech data (e.g. voice mail). This package contains tools files for the MinGW version of speex, built for the win64 target.
We can use yum or dnf to install mingw64-speex-tools on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install mingw64-speex-tools.
Install mingw64-speex-tools on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mingw64-speex-tools using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install mingw64-speex-tools
Install mingw64-speex-tools on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install mingw64-speex-tools using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install mingw64-speex-tools
How To Uninstall mingw64-speex-tools on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the mingw64-speex-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove mingw64-speex-tools
