What is lua-ldoc

LDoc is a second-generation documentation tool that can be used as a replacement for LuaDoc. It is mostly compatible with LuaDoc, except that certain workarounds are no longer needed. For instance, it is not so married to the idea that Lua modules should be defined using the module function.

We can use yum or dnf to install lua-ldoc on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install lua-ldoc.

Install lua-ldoc on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install lua-ldoc using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install lua-ldoc

Install lua-ldoc on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install lua-ldoc using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install lua-ldoc

How To Uninstall lua-ldoc on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the lua-ldoc package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove lua-ldoc
