How To Install libXNVCtrl on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install libXNVCtrl
on Fedora 36.
What is libXNVCtrl
This packages contains the libXNVCtrl library from the nvidia-settings application. This library provides the NV-CONTROL API for communicating with the proprietary NVidia xorg driver. This package does not contain the nvidia-settings tool itself as that is included with the proprietary drivers themselves.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libXNVCtrl
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libXNVCtrl.
Install libXNVCtrl on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libXNVCtrl
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libXNVCtrl
Install libXNVCtrl on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libXNVCtrl
using yum

How To Uninstall libXNVCtrl on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the libXNVCtrl
