How To Install libverto on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libverto
on Fedora 36.
What is libverto
libverto provides a way for libraries to expose asynchronous interfaces without having to choose a particular event loop, offloading this decision to the end application which consumes the library. If you are packaging an application, not library, based on libverto, you should depend either on a specific implementation module or you can depend on the virtual provides ’libverto-module-base’. This will ensure that you have at least one module installed that provides io, timeout and signal functionality. Currently glib is the only module that does not provide these three because it lacks signal. However, glib will support signal in the future.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libverto
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libverto.
Install libverto on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libverto
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libverto
Install libverto on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libverto
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libverto
How To Uninstall libverto on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the libverto
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libverto
