What is libunistring

This portable C library implements Unicode string types in three flavours (UTF-8, UTF-16, UTF-32), together with functions for character processing (names, classifications, properties) and functions for string processing (iteration, formatted output, width, word breaks, line breaks, normalization, case folding and regular expressions).

We can use yum or dnf to install libunistring on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libunistring.

Install libunistring on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libunistring using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libunistring

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libunistring using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install libunistring

How To Uninstall libunistring on Fedora 36
