How To Install libunicap on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libunicap
on Fedora 36.
What is libunicap
Unicap provides a uniform interface to video capture devices. It allows applications to use any supported video capture device via a single API. The unicap library offers a high level of hardware abstraction while maintaining maximum performance. Zero copy capture of video buffers is possible for devices supporting it allowing fast video capture with low CPU usage even on low-speed architectures.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libunicap
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libunicap.
Install libunicap on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libunicap
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libunicap
Install libunicap on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libunicap
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libunicap
How To Uninstall libunicap on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the libunicap
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libunicap
