What is libspf2

libspf2 is an implementation of the SPF (Sender Policy Framework) specification as found at http SPF allows email systems to check SPF DNS records and make sure that an email is authorized by the administrator of the domain name that it is coming from. This prevents email forgery, commonly used by spammers, scammers, and email viruses/worms. A lot of effort has been put into making it secure by design, and a great deal of effort has been put into the regression tests.

We can use yum or dnf to install libspf2 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libspf2.

Install libspf2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libspf2 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libspf2

Install libspf2 on Fedora 36 Using yum

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libspf2 using yum by running the following command:
