What is libseccomp-static

The libseccomp library provides an easy to use interface to the Linux Kernel’s syscall filtering mechanism, seccomp. The libseccomp API allows an application to specify which syscalls, and optionally which syscall arguments, the application is allowed to execute, all of which are enforced by the Linux Kernel.

We can use yum or dnf to install libseccomp-static on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libseccomp-static.

Install libseccomp-static on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libseccomp-static using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libseccomp-static

Install libseccomp-static on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh
