In this tutorial we learn how to install librealsense1 on Fedora 36.

What is librealsense1

This project is a cross-platform library (Linux, OSX, Windows) for capturing data from the Intel RealSense F200, SR300 and R200 cameras. This is a legacy package to provide support for older camera hardware. For newer hardware, use librealsense.

We can use yum or dnf to install librealsense1 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install librealsense1.

Install librealsense1 on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install librealsense1 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install librealsense1

Install librealsense1 on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install librealsense1 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install librealsense1

How To Uninstall librealsense1 on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the librealsense1 package we can use the following command:
