What is libpsm2

The PSM Messaging API, or PSM API, is the low-level user-level communications interface for the Intel OPA family of products. PSM users are enabled with mechanisms necessary to implement higher level communications interfaces in parallel environments.

We can use yum or dnf to install libpsm2 on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libpsm2.

Install libpsm2 on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpsm2 using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libpsm2

Install libpsm2 on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpsm2 using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install libpsm2

How To Uninstall libpsm2 on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the libpsm2 package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove libpsm2
