In this tutorial we learn how to install libpri on Fedora 36.

What is libpri

libpri is a C implementation of the Primary Rate ISDN specification. It was based on the Bellcore specification SR-NWT-002343 for National ISDN. As of May 12, 2001, it has been tested work to with NI-2, Nortel DMS-100, and Lucent 5E Custom protocols on switches from Nortel and Lucent.

We can use yum or dnf to install libpri on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libpri.

Install libpri on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpri using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libpri

Install libpri on Fedora 36 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpri using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install libpri

How To Uninstall libpri on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the libpri package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove libpri
