What is libpmem-debug

The libpmem provides low level persistent memory support. In particular, support for the persistent memory instructions for flushing changes to pmem is provided. This package provides the v1 API. This sub-package contains debug variant of the library, providing run-time assertions and trace points. The typical way to access the debug version is to set the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib64/pmdk_debug.

We can use yum or dnf to install libpmem-debug on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libpmem-debug.

Install libpmem-debug on Fedora 36 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpmem-debug using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libpmem-debug

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install libpmem-debug using yum by running the following command:

How To Uninstall libpmem-debug on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the libpmem-debug package we can use the following command:
